About UsHi my name is Judy Rafferty and I am the owner & designer of Fat Kat Creations. Fat Kat Creations is located in Northern Vermont. Our studio is located within our home, nestled on a sunny hillside with views of Elmore Mt, the summit of Mount Mansfield in Stowe VT., & the back side of Smugglers Notch. Why work anywhere else?
Fat Kat Creations started out as a dream. Born & raised in Vermont & after many years of sewing for other companies, I decided it was time to head out on my own. With my husband Brian at my side & a little of that good old Vermont ingenuity, Fat Kat Creations became reality . The name Fat Kat Creations is in honor of my old gray cat that was with me for 18 years. Brian and I help to rescue Pugs with special needs. Pugs have been my passion for over 16 years. We currently have in our care 8 Pugs, ranging in ages from 5 to 12 years old. 2 are diabetics 1 is an epileptic, 2 are blind, and one is deaf, and others have seriouse eye problems that require special compounded medicines. Most of the proceeds that come from the sale of my products go into the care of these animals. We wanted to create products that were of exceptional quality, practical, fun, and affordable. Each item is individually handcrafted in Vermont, and is designed for every day practical use. It is our mission to provide top quality handcrafted items for those special ones in your life. I personally select the fabrics and sew them to insure that we are marketing a product of the highest quality. In the future we hope to add different materials & products to choose from.
